Welcome to the official website of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). The OIG is an independent entity reporting to the Metro Board of Directors.  Our task is to detect and deter instances of fraud, waste, and abuse of Metro resources.  The OIG keeps the Board and the Chief Executive Officer fully informed about issues affecting Metro programs and the opportunities for improvement.  The site provides you with information about our organization and mission. The OIG would like to emphasize that no action will be taken or threatened against anyone as a reprisal for making a complaint or disclosing information to us.
